Here in Florida
every home and business owner knows that roof repair and/or replacement is
inevitable. Brutal summer heat, severe storms and hurricanes take a beating on
our roofs year after year. These extremes lead to unexpected repairs as well as
unexpected costs. While roof management will prolong the life of a roof, at
some point we are all faced with the major decision of whether to repair or
replace our roofs?
Selecting a reputable, reliable contractor is a very important
decision. Unlicensed, uncertified, unprincipled "storm chasers" that contact
Floridians for a quick fix can result in poor workmanship that masks problems
causing more damage to your home or business in the future. When dealing with
unlicensed "under the radar" roofers, there is also the added risk of paying a
partial payment and never hearing from them again.
Hiring a CFRSA member ensures that you are using a professional State
of Florida Certified, licensed and insured contractor; A contractor that is in
a network of contractors who all care about their reputation and craftsmanship;
A contractor that lives and works here in our Central Florida communities; A
contractor that will only use Florida product approved materials and
applications to get the job done right the first time and at a fair price.
Selecting a reputable roofing professional from this CFRSA Directory to
meet your roofing needs will give you the peace of mind you are looking for.
CFRSA is dedicated to promoting and maintaining
professional
industry practices and
standards
The Central Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association was established
in 1955 as an affiliate of the Florida Roofing Sheet Metal & Air
Conditioning Contractors Association.
Although our goals are similar, CFRSA deals with issues that affect our
members on the local level. We are comprised of licensed roofing and sheet
metal contractors, as well as a number of associate members, which include
suppliers, manufacturers, and other companies that are involved with the
roofing industry.
The goals of the CFRSA are:
To educate our members on the always
changing laws and codes, through seminars and an array of guest speakers. To
establish relationships with the local building officials that result in a
better working environment for all of us.
To improve the image of the roofing
industry through community involvement and charity projects. Many of our
officers and members are also very involved with the FRSA. We have committee
members, members of the board of directors and past and future presidents. This
enables us to gather a wealth of information from contractors all over the
state to bring back and share with our members.
We are dedicated to the roofing
industry, by promoting professionalism and education to all of our members and
the public.
We would like to encourage anyone involved in the construction industry
to attend one of our monthly meetings to find out more of what this association
has to offer.
