Welcome to CFRSA.ORG

The Central Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association was established in 1955 as an affiliate of the Florida Roofing Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning Contractors Association. Although our goals are similar, CFRSA deals with issues that affect our members on the local level. We are comprised of licensed roofing and sheet metal contractors, as well as a number of associate members, which include suppliers, manufactures, and other companies that are involved with the roofing industry. The goals of the CFRSA are to educate our members on the always changing laws and codes, through seminars and an array of guest speakers. To establish relationships with the local building officials that result in a better working environment for all of us. To improve the image of the roofing industry through community involvement and charity projects. Many of our officers and members are also very involved with the FRSA. We have committee members, members of the board of directors and past and future presidents. This enables us to gather a wealth of information from contractors all over the state to bring back and share with our members. We are dedicated to the roofing industry, by promoting professionalism and education to all of our members and the public. We would like to encourage anyone involved in the construction industry to attend one of our monthly meetings to find out more of what this association has to offer.

What Can CFRSA Do For You!

What the Central Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Association ("CFRSA") can do for its Members

As an association we are dedicated to you the contractor, suppliers and manufacturers. We are here to listen to your needs and to do all we can to help you through all the legalities, regulations, codes and to educate you. We will help you obtain CE credit hours needed every 2 years to maintain your license. We have several meetings a year on safety to help keep you and your crews safe. We have offered classes to certify members in first aid and CPR. The CFRSA also helped draft the Dry-In Affidavit and met with Orange County Building Officials to put the practice in use. Now contractors in Orange County do not have to wait for an inspector to come to tell them when they can start installation of the roofing materials and leave an occupied building exposed. With a signed affidavit the contractor can tear off and install the new materials on their schedule. We are also dedicated to getting rid of unlicensed and uninsured roofers who are taking work from "us", the legitimate contractor and give our industry a bad reputation.
As a member you are guaranteed a seat and dinner at our monthly meetings wherewe discuss various topics. Being a member also gets your name on our website. This means when the public is looking for a roofer they are guided to our website and your company name and information will be on there. They will have the opportunity to get your company's info so that they can call for a quote. The CFRSA is dedicated to families. Every year we have numerous outings for the family. This way contractors can meet each other; and the family can have a great day out together.
We are also dedicated to our members. If a member is in need we are there to help them. Just recently one of our members needed help with medical bills and the CFRSA and FRSA stepped in to help with numerous fund raisers. We are also diligently working our Disaster Preparedness & Response Committee. This committee is putting together a comprehensive response plan for disasters such as hurricanes, tornados, sever thunder storms or any type of disaster Central Florida may experience.

Your board of directors works hard on your behalf. They arrange all of the monthly meetings, contacting and booking speakers; they arrange all the fun events and obtain sponsors. They attend the FRSA Board Meetings four times a year and are on many different committees to make sure they are up on the latest code changes, insurance regulations and legalities that involve our industry. All of this is done on a volunteer basis and on their own time.
By becoming a member of the CFRSA you receive all these benefits and are able to meet other professional, licensed and insured contractors that want to better their industry.

Thank you in advance for your time and inquiring about our association.
